Dear Egon You can download the appliance at http://178.63.47.196/OT_VM/Opentox%20Virtual%20Appliance%20DC.ova This version is already "patched" with a newer version of the ontology service (configured to store the tdb database in user tomcat6's home directory instead of the tomcat temp folder). Note that the appliance is based on IST's version ( http://www.maunz.de/wordpress/opentox/2011/using-ist-opentox-virtual-appliance-under-windows), without which I wouldn't have been able to set it up in such a short time last week. Thanks! Note, however, that it is work in progress. The hard disk of the appliance needs to be made bigger, and we plan to add a few more OpenTox services. It would also be nice to add bioclipse, but I left that out for the moment for two reasons: 1) disk space, 2) pointing bioclipse to use the local version of ambit and the ontology service does not persist when restarting bioclipse (but you know that already). Once that's working with bioclipse we could integrate it as well.
