Hi,

The attached message might be of interest, in particular to people
involved in OT-IUCLID5-related integration tasks.

I would like to use this opportunity to ask whether someone on the
list could provide some further information on the "ECHA Dissemination
portal", that is mentioned below? In particular, is there some
additional resource available online, appart from the ECHA list of
pre-registered substances
(http://apps.echa.europa.eu/preregistered/prsDownload.aspx)? Or does
anyone know more about eventual upcoming release of any substances
data by ECHA?

Kind regards,
Vedrin

The dissemination plugin is available
-------------------------------------

Article 119 of the REACH Regulation stipulates that ECHA shall publish
certain information it holds on substances, free of charge over the
internet. This information is published in the ECHA Dissemination
portal, and originates from the REACH registration dossiers submitted
to ECHA.

An important step in the dissemination process is the filtering step,
in which the information which is not meant to be published is removed
from the registration dossier, while leaving in the information ECHA
is publishing according to Article 119 of REACH. This is done by an IT
tool which has been programmed with rules determining for each field
in the IUCLID 5 registration dossier if the conditions are met for
publication.

The Dissemination plugin simulates this automated filtering. It uses
the same rules ECHA uses when publishing information from the
registration dossier on the ECHA website. The plugin is designed to
work on a REACH registration dossier, and to produce a version of the
dossier showing which information will be made publicly available by
ECHA over the internet. The Dissemination Plugin also produces a
report, listing for all information whether it was removed from the
dossier or left in the dossier.

The Dissemination plugin can be downloaded from
http://iuclid.eu/index.php?fuseaction=home.download52&area_id=52080.

A user manual has also been written and can be downloaded at
http://iuclid.eu/download/documents/plugins/dissemination/Dissemination_plugin_manual_2010-06-29.pdf.
It provides information on how to download and install the
Dissemination plugin as well as instructions on its use.
